We make it easy to capture and manage drone survey data

Our autonomous drone-in-a-box systems speed up mining operations and give everyone on site faster access to the drone survey data they need.

Every mine needs more survey data. That’s why we’re here.

Over the last 15 years we’ve seen drone surveys go from a ‘nice-to-have’ idea to an essential tool that every department on site needs daily.

The demand for drone data keeps growing, putting pressure on busy surveyors to fly more missions. Other teams get frustrated waiting for the data they requested, and surveyors are burnt out trying to keep everyone happy with limited resources.

Mines across Australia and South Africa now use our xBot drone system to automate repetitive, manual survey tasks. This gives surveyors more time in their day, speeds up mining operations, and gives everyone on site access to drone data whenever they need it.

We’ve developed a drone-in-a-box system that’s simple to install: it can be running on a new site within weeks, with no IT involvement and minimal site works. Our qualified drone pilots operate missions remotely from Perth, Adelaide, and Johannesburg, then the data is uploaded, processed and immediately ready for anyone on site to access.

Our specialists work hard behind the scenes to make this a hands-off and seamless process. We handle CASA approvals and all aspects of aviation compliance so our customers can focus on their mining operations, not red tape.

Our Story

Originally founded as Rocketmine in 2011, we’ve grown from a contract mining service provider into an ASX-listed enterprise autonomous drone company that combines the hardware, software, and piloting end-to-end.

From the start, we saw the potential of drone technology to make mining safer and more efficient. As demand for survey data grew rapidly across mining and other industries, one thing became clear: manual workflows wouldn’t scale, so automation was the answer.

By combining our aviation expertise with first-hand experience in open-pit mining, we built a drone-in-a-box system to meet rising survey demand. Today, we also support other industries like agriculture and security, making drone data more readily available to anyone who needs it.

We’re proud to be the first company assessed and approved for CASA’s Broad Area Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Self-Assessment Trial. Since 2022, we’ve been operating BVLOS missions from our Remote Operations Centres in Perth and Adelaide, longer than any other commercial operator in Australia.

Along the way, we’ve learned, grown, and partnered with leading experts across the industry. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re just getting started, supporting clients worldwide with autonomous drone services.

We’re growing fast.

With 75+ people across our operations in Australia and Africa, more people are joining the team every week.

Most of our team members come from the same environments our customers work in: surveying, tech services, geology, mining operations, and geospatial.

They’ve spent 1000s of hours collecting volumes, planning flights, processing survey data, and supporting engineering and geology teams on site. Other staff have extensive aviation, policing and security backgrounds, focused on operating safely in complex environments. That mix shapes how we build and run our systems safely and securely.

Our systems combine software and hardware together based on practical expertise, so they fit seamlessly into your existing site processes.

A word from our CEO
“Our goal is to help customers clearly understand what’s happening across their sites - from how much material they’re moving to detecting leaks, corrosion and other day-to-day changes that affect operations.

By automating data capture and analysis, we deliver near-real-time geospatial insight that removes people from repetitive and hazardous tasks and lets them focus on decisions instead. For our customers, that speed and clarity becomes a real operational advantage.”
